Warhammer: Orcs & Goblins

The new Orcs & Goblins miniatures have been getting hobbyists across the world excited (not to mention a little bit scared when they're confronted with images of the gigantic Arachnarok Spider). Also on advance order this month is Warhammer: Orcs & Goblins, which is packed with 112 pages of greenskin goodness, and the first army book we've released in hardcover.

Not only does it explain all the rules you need to field an Orcs & Goblins army, but it gives you detailed background information as well as a bestiary for every unit; there's also amazing artwork alongside, and all of this is in glorious colour.

The background is in-depth and the little stories really bring those greenskins to life. In fact, this book is brimming with character. As Dan said on the blog, 'you certainly get the impression that it was written and compiled in the Old World by some secret scrivener in a dark dungeon somewhere in the Empire.'

Of course, it's not just the content that is cool, but the outside is very swish, too. It's as solid as a shield (well, maybe not quite, but it is pretty durable) and, being a hardcover army book, it just sits open on your gaming table. This allows you to find rules and check stat lines with ease, giving you more time to plan your killing move.
